It looks like both OpenTrader and Marketcetera are targeted at high frequency applications. My work is lower frequency stock trading, so automation would require additional things like handling corporate events. My hope is with ActiveQuant, but last time I played with it, its components felt too tightly coupled.
open trader looks very interesting, but seems to be a tightly coupled platform as well.
you should check out our open source platform TradeLink, which is very modular and is designed to be re-packaged and re-used in components.
We have a comparable # of downloads as marketcetera, which is a feat considering we don't have millions in VC money or many full time developers like they do.
